Hickory Bacon Salt Garlic Mashed Potatoes

These might be the best mashed potatoes you and your guests will ever eat.The smoky-sweet Hickory Bacon Salt and savory garlic go perfectly with skin-on red mashed potatoes. This is a perfect holiday dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs small red potatoes, quartered with skin on
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Hickory Bacon Salt
  • Chives, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of slightly salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 10 minutes. Drain, and place in a large bowl.
  2. Melt butter in microwave safe dish with garlic, then heat up milk for 30 seconds to 1 minute in the microwave. Mash potatoes, milk, garlic and butter together. Keep adding Hickory Bacon Salt to taste - you'll want to use a good amount for this dish to kick up the bacon.
  3. Garnish with chopped chives.
