After having this Baconnaise BLT, you will never want to eat a BLT with boring mayo again.
8 slices of your favorite bread, toasted - multigrain, sourdough, or a fresh Italian loaf from your local bakery
12 slices of thick-cut bacon - these can be cooked in the oven for easier and more consistent preparation
Fresh lettuce - romaine, iceberg or butter
2 fresh, perfectly ripe tomatoes, sliced
Baconnaise to taste (around 1-2 tablespoons per sandwich)
Arrange the bacon on a foil-lined baking sheet, then bake the bacon at 375 degrees F for around 20 minutes (until crispy). This may take longer depending on the thickness of your bacon, and you can turn up the oven at the end to ensure the bacon crisps up - just don't burn it!
Toast the bread, spread each inside with Baconnaise, then assemble the rest of the ingredients on each of the 4 sandwiches.
