Bacon Salt Grilled or Roasted Asparagus

Everyone loves Bacon Wrapped Asparagus - we have the tasty shortcut!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Bacon Salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Chives or scallions (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Remove the tough bottom portions of the asparagus - just snap each spear and it should snap at ideal point.
  2. Preheat grill for high heat or oven to 425 degrees F.
  3. Coat the asparagus spears with olive oil. Season with Bacon Salt to taste
  4. Grill over high heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or to desired tenderness, or cook in the oven in a baking pan for 10-15 minutes depending on the thickness of the asparagus.
  5. Top with chives or scallions (optional), fresh ground pepper and more Bacon Salt to taste if desired
