Malt Salt Fish Steaks

Ingredients

  • 4 fish steaks (halibut, tuna, tilapia)
  • 2-3 potatoes
  • 4 teaspoons Malt Salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 cup soft breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped onions 
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley

Directions

Wash and then slice potatoes, and boil until barely cooked, i.e. still a little stiff but edible.  

Wash and pat fish steaks dry. Arrange potato slices on top. 
Place fish in a baking pan. Sprinkle with Malt Salt.

In a bowl combine breadcrumbs, onion, garlic powder and butter. Spoon this mixture on top of potatoes.Cook at 350 degrees F (200 degrees C) for approximately 20 minutes or until fish is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

Add more Malt Salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with parsley.
