Roasted Halibut Steak with Malt Salt

Submitted By: J&D

Malt Salt and white fish like halibut are absolutely excellent together. You could easily substitute cod or tilapia with similar results.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb halibut steak
  • Olive oil
  • Malt Salt to taste (approximately 1 Tablespoon plus more when serving)
  • Fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chopped cilantro to garnish
  • Lemon slices

Directions
Rub halibut steak with Malt Salt, garlic powder and black pepper. Cover and refrigerate for 2-4 hours.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place halibut in greased cooking pan, and cook until fish reaches an internal temperature of 135 degrees F. Alternatively, you can grill the fish on a well-oiled grill, although it can be very difficult to keep the fish from sticking to your grill.

Garnish with chopped cilantro and more Malt Salt to taste and serve with lemon slices.
