Peppered Bacon Salt and garlic is a match made in heaven!
Ingredients
-
Skewers (if wood, wet them 1/2 hour before grilling)
-
1 lb peeled and deveined shrimp (no heads)
-
1 lb top sirloin
-
Peppered Bacon Salt
-
Garlic powder
-
Olive oil
-
Chopped white or yellow onion
-
Chopped green and/or red pepper
Directions
Toss shrimp in mixture of olive oil, Peppered Bacon Salt and garlic powder.
If you're going to grill vegetables like peppers and/or onions, toss them with olive oil and Bacon Salt/garlic powder mixture then place them on separate skewers as cooking times will be different.
Cut steak into 1/2 inch cubes, and rub with mixture of Peppered Bacon Salt and garlic powder. Skewer.
Cover both and refrigerate overnight.
Prepare a hot grill. Use tongs to rub a paper towel soaked in olive oil to grease grill. Place skewers on grill, and grill shrimp until beginning to turn pink, then turn over - if the grill is hot enough, the shrimp should only take 1-2 minutes per side. Turn steak cubes after 2-3 minutes, and then cook on other side until medium rare. As skewers come off grill, sprinkle with additional Bacon Salt to taste, then serve hot with grilled Bacon Salt asparagus.
