Grilled Oysters Bacon Salt
Submitted By: J&D

This is a summertime favorite in our house! A great appetizer.
Ingredients
-
3 dozen oysters, freshly shucked and drained
-
1 Tablespoon Bacon Salt (we like Peppered, but Original is great on this as well)
-
1 stick unsalted butter
-
3 cloves garlic, chopped
-
Tabasco to taste (optional)
-
Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions
Prepare a very hot grill. Melt butter and garlic in the microwave, then add Bacon Salt.
Place the oysters in the deepest half of the shells, then cover with the butter mixture. Keep on the grill covered for 6-8 minutes, check doneness of smallest oysters and remove if fully cooked. Cook the rest of the thicker oysters until done and serve all at once. Add more butter mixture and a dash of Tabasco if desired and chopped parsley for garnish (both optional).
This can also be done in a 425 degree F oven.
