I've made this recipe 5 times since I got the products listed, and everyone loves it! You should definitely give it a try!
Ingredients
-
1 small sweet onion, diced
-
1/2 tsp of garlic, minced
-
1 tsp Bacon Salt (any flavor)
-
1-1/2 pounds lean ground chuck or ground round
-
1 box of linguine (any kind)
-
1-1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
-
1/2 cup of Baconnaise
-
Pepper to taste
Directions
Bring a large saucepan of salted (with Bacon Salt) water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions.Reserve ¼ cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta, return it to the pot and set aside.
While the pasta is cooking:
In a large saute pan or skillet, spray with non-stick cooking spray (if necessary) and sautee the onions, garlic and 1/2 of bacon salt together until the onions are caramelized. Add the ground beef, pepper, and the rest of the bacon salt and mix well. Continue cooking until the meat is browned. Add the cheese to the meat in the pan and stir in until it is well mixed. Transfer the meat and cheese to the pasta, and add the Baconnaise. Gently stir until well blended. If the pasta is not "wet" enough for you, add some of the pasta water. Serve with an extra sprinkle of Bacon Salt on top. Enjoy!
