My husband Blake and I created this recipe after going to the local farmers market and just selecting whatever was available to have for dinner that night. We ended up with the most incredible open-faced sandwiches ever and now we make them all the time.
Ingredients
Good quality fresh bread of your choice (we used jalepeno asiago cheese bread, which I highly recommend. The jalepeno flavor added to this recipe tremendously.)
Cooked bacon (if you don't have jalepeno bread, jalepeno bacon could be used)
Sliced tomatoes
Sliced cheese (we used Swiss)
Baconnaisse
Directions
Slice the bread and layer with bacconnaisse, cheese, and bacon. Toast in a toaster oven until the cheese is melty and the bread is slightly browned. Add sliced tomato. Eat.
