Bacon Kevin Bacon
What if Kevin Bacon was made of Bacon? That certainly might explain the awesome string of movies he has acted in, including Footloose, Apollo 13 and A Few Good Men. Upon further research, we learned that Kevin Bacon is in fact not edible.
To remedy this situation, in 2010 we commissioned a life-size bust of Kevin Bacon made out of Bacon with sculptor Mike LaHue. We then sold this incredible sculpture to a private bidder in order to raise money for a childhood cancer charity we started.
Not-Made-of-Bacon-Kevin-Bacon, a big supporter of childhood cancer charities, was gracious enough to roll with the joke and give us permission to use his likeness. Bacon Kevin Bacon then made a string of television appearances, and for one week his fame might have exceeded the real Kevin Bacon’s. Here’s a list of some of his more popular appearances:
